Senior Cycle – 2 Years

At Senior Cycle, St. Fergal’s College offers a broad and balanced curriculum designed to support students in achieving their full potential and preparing them for life after school. Our aim is to provide every student with opportunities that match their interests, abilities, and future aspirations.

All students at Senior Cycle study the following core subjects:

  • English
  • Irish
  • Mathematics

In addition, students choose four subjects from the following wide range of options:

  • French
  • Geography
  • History
  • Agricultural Science
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Business
  • Home Economics
  • Accounting
  • Engineering
  • Construction
  • Design and Communication Graphics (DCG)
  • Art
  • Music

To ensure a well-rounded education, our Senior Cycle students also participate in non-exam timetabled classes in:

  • Physical Education (PE)
  • Career Guidance

This combination of core, optional, and non-exam subjects ensures that students are supported academically, personally, and socially as they prepare for their Leaving Certificate and future pathways in further education, training, or employment.
